The itinerary provides an insight into the sway held by Cristoforo Benigno Crespi from Busto Arsizio over the area, focusing on a unique historical period that saw the development of hydroelectric power stations, industrial plants and innovative housing systems for company employees along the course of Bergamo’s rivers. On this tour, the starting point is Crespi d’Adda, the exemplary industrial village, unique in southern Europe for its preservation and completeness. It then continues along the Val Seriana to discover an industrial reality, the result of urban regeneration, such as the Cementificio Pesenti in Alzano Lombardo, highlighting its history and the impact it has had over the centuries on the territories along with the tourism and social enhancement projects.
